As a Vegan JD Wetherspoons service is bad and insulting.

Avoid like the plague if you are vegan.

I visited the Elms JD Wetherspoon, Leigh-on-Sea in May 2011 and I was horrified at what occurred. It was a lunch to celebrate my Dad’s Birthday, who is fond of JD Wetherspoons as they serve real ale. As a vegan there was no choice on the menu apart from ordering the ‘Superfood Salad’ of which I did. When the salad arrived it had salmon on top of it, which of course I did not order and was upsetting to see. I asked the waitress for another stating I was a vegan. Shortly after the same salad with parts of salmon was represented, I was absolutely disgusted. This felt intrinsically offensive and discrimatory to me. One of JD Wetherspoons employees had thought it ok to scape the fish off then present it to me again! Following this the salad then reappeared served in a hot bowl of which I declined as no longer trusted.
